Brand Marketing Manager

The Stage Media Company Ltd, based in London Bridge, is dedicated to providing up-to-date news and services for the UK’s theatre, performing arts and book publishing industry with two key titles: The Stage and The Bookseller. Both The Stage and The Bookseller are established leaders within their respective fields, offering industry news, authoritative reviews/interviews and insightful features.
Why this role is important:
Reporting to the Events, Marketing and Sales Director, The Stage Media Company is looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to lead our marketing department and drive the overall marketing strategy for our media company.
This role is also responsible for overseeing a diverse range of marketing activities, including brand development, audience engagement, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
What you will do:
- Develop the marketing strategy, aligning with the company's goals and objectives, with the Events, Marketing and Sales Director, and execute it
- Lead the team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, audience growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer insights to identify new opportunities, market trends, and target audience segments.
- Collaborate with the editorial teams and Head of design to develop compelling and impactful marketing materials including digital and traditional advertising, social media campaigns, email marketing, and other promotional materials.
- Manage the company's brand identity in collaboration with the Head of design, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation across all channels and touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to the Events, Marketing and Sales Director and senior management.
- Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve optimal ROI for marketing efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, agencies, and media outlets to maximize exposure, partnerships, and collaborations that drive revenue growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing technologies, recommending innovative strategies and tactics to stay ahead of the curve
- Drive the company’s social media engagement by managing the team of social media executives.
- Ensure excellent service to all users by overseeing the customer service team.
- Culture champion: Lead with intent to create and inspire a thriving and positive workplace culture
What we are looking for:
- Deep knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, with a strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms, specifically for growth.
- Experience in marketing management within B2B or consumer media, owning a budget and successfully delivering on strategic objectives for the brand and revenue targets would be an asset
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and subscriptions growth
- Proficiency in marketing software and analytics tools, with experience in utilizing data for marketing strategies.

Other information:
Normal working hours are 9am - 5pm, with occasional evening or weekend work to cover events. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring at least three days a week at The Stage’s office on Bermondsey Street, SE1, with opportunities for remote work on the other day.
